CHELYABINSK, Russia 15th Feb 2013– More than 500 people were injured when a meteorite shot across the sky and exploded over central Russia on Friday, sending fireballs crashing to Earth, shattering windows and damaging buildings.

People heading to work in Chelyabinsk heard what sounded like an explosion, saw a bright light and then felt a shockwave according to a Reuter’s correspondent in the industrial city 950 miles east of Moscow.
A fireball blazed across the horizon, leaving a long white trail in its wake which could be seen as far as 125 miles away in Yekaterinburg. Car alarms went off, windows shattered and mobile phone networks were interrupted.

Description in Quran: The Holy Quran and Islam are filled with scientific statements and notions. These are statements of Allah Almighty describing how He created things on earth and in the Universe.

The Quran Shareef, mentions meteorites not once or twice, but more than a dozen times, by an expression, ‘that is between the heaven and the earth.’ Here is one example:

And We (Allah) created not the heaven and the earth and all that is between the two in play.  If We had wished to find a pastime, We would surely have found it in what is with Us if at all We were to do such a thing.  (Al Quran 21:17-18)

We have not created the heavens and the earth, and all that is between them with an enduring purpose, and for an appointed term; but those who disbelieve turn away from that of which they have been warned.  (Al Quran 46:4)

We have created the heavens and the earth and all that is between the two in accordance with the requirements of truth and wisdom, and the appointed hour is sure to come; so forbear generously.  Indeed, thy Lord is the Great Creator, the All Knowing.  (Al Quran 15:86-87)

The Shooting Stars (Shahab) Quran Shareef, Miracle is confirmed by Science,

The Quran Shareef :-

(a)- Man is created from dust.
(b)- Jinns are created from a shooting smokeless fire.

(i)- Are Jinns created from Gamma and other Cosmic Rays?

(c)- Jinns are also mighty, powerful and invisible!
(d)- Angels are created from Light.
(e)- Hell Fire is capable of punishing all Humans, Jinns and even Angels.

"He will say: "Enter ye in the company of the peoples who passed away before you - men and jinns, - into the Fire." Every time a new people enters, it curses its sister-people (that went before), until they follow each other, all into the Fire. Saith the last about the first: "Our Lord! it is these that misled us: so give them a double penalty in the Fire." He will say: "Doubled for all" : but this ye do not understand. (The Noble Quran, 7:38)"

"One day will He gather them all together, (and say): "O ye assembly of Jinns! Much (toll) did ye take of men." Their friends amongst men will say: "Our Lord! we made profit from each other: but (alas!) we reached our term - which thou didst appoint for us." He will say: "The Fire be your dwelling-place: you will dwell therein for ever, except as God willeth." for thy Lord is full of wisdom and knowledge. (The Noble Quran, 6:128)"

Hell Fire here is a different fire than what we know of. It is far hotter and forever lasting. No one knows what it is like. The reason why I mentioned it here is to prevent the reader from getting confused between the fire of the Jinns and the fire of Hell Fire.
